Testimonials

What people are saying . . .

  • Mike was an absolute joy to work with on my first publication, Daughter by Design. He helped align everything in order to meet with my timeline. With a careful mastery of encouraging, directing, consulting, and empowering, Mike helped me to take the project from manuscript to sales with efficiency. Mike was committed and diligent in responding to emails or calls and made me feel like my project was his project.

I appreciated the way Mike encouraged me to find and utilize my resources, but was able to provide the right help and direction when I needed it. He was ever so patient with me in the design phase. I loved working with him and will be recommending him to other authors in the future.

  • I met Mike while working with Kevin Reilly on his book, “Tackling Life.” When I decided to write my own book, I knew the best course was to work with Mike.

He handles every aspect of product development from designing the cover and content to managing multiple distribution channels. Mike’s value is not limited to the book alone - he designed and set up a book website and he tracks sales and provides fulfillment services. He has a range of contacts with editors and printers and takes the confusion out of the process from start to finish.

Mike is more than a publishing consultant – he has become a trusted friend and advisor.

  • In addition to his talent as a designer, Mike adds value to every project. He is reliable, resourceful, and trustworthy--characteristics that are of utmost importance to me. Mike and I have worked on a number of projects together throughout the years.

Although my role is generally project manager and copywriter, I can always count on Mike to spot opportunities for improving text, delivering value adds to clients, and improving the bottom line.

In addition, he has been a terrific resource, connecting me to top-notch vendors and professionals. My Rolodex is prioritized rather than alphabetized, and Mike's among my first tier of go-tos.

  • Writing my first book as a rookie book writer, I was intimidated by the entire process, from the order in which steps to take, the editing, the printing, and the formatting to name a few, until I was introduced to Mike.

In one sit down meeting Mike set the process for writing my book “Tackling Life”. Because of his expertise we were able to get the book completed in just a few short months.

In addition to his printing expertise, Mike's integrity is beyond reproach when it comes to pricing, quality, and candor throughout the process which is a major factor in producing a high end product. My book is scheduled for it’s 3rd printing and I owe much of its success to Mike, who will once again guide me through its reprint!

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions

Do you accept manuscripts?

The short answer is no. I'm not setup as a publisher in the traditional sense. I provide design and publishing services to help get you setup to self-publish your book and sell through your own business.

You'll always own the rights to your book and will have the option to handle all the distribution yourself wherein you keep all the profit. If you're interested in having distrubtion services, we can discuss that as well. For more information on my bookstore site please click here

I'm still writing my manuscript. Will you still work with me?

I can best help you when your manuscript is complete. However, I also work with editors that can help you in all phases of your writing, including ghost writing, copyediting, developmental editing, and proofreading.

I would be happy to put you in touch with someone who can help and when your manuscript is complete, we can connect again.

What are your costs?

Each book project will be evaluated based on it's own unique design, production and timing needs. If it's a project I can take on, I'll provide you with a detailed estimate.

If we're not a fit, I'll try and help point you in another direction that is best for you.

How long does it take to get a book published?

That depends on what is all needed for the book. If you have a finished, edited manuscript and are needing a cover design, interior design, and print production, that process can take anywhere from a couple months to much longer. We can review timing together.
